Monsters aren’t scary. They’re here to help!

Little Monster is a fast-paced beat ‘em up game where you play as Stormy, a little monster whose duty is to ward off nightmare spirits while we sleep. This 2-D style beat ‘em up combines roguelike elements with arena style gameplay. Punch, race, fly, and shoot your way through three different realms as you try and rescue your friends. Become a nightmare hunter, save your friends, and prevent the human realm from becoming a nightmare!

Developer of Little Monster here! The plan is to add proper narration to this opening. With your support I could hire a narrator!

Little Monster is a fast-paced beat ‘em up game where the player has a basic 3 hit combo, a ground pound, a dash punch, and a spin attack. Once in range, a red indicator appears, warning the player that the enemy is about to attack. The evade slide allows the player to escape this attack and leaves the enemy open for a counterattack from the player. This evade mechanic keeps the combat fresh and engaging while keeping the player on their toes. On top of Stormy’s standard attacks listed above there are additional attacks that can be purchased in the in-game shop. Special monster friends also join in the fight once rescued from the dark nightmare spirits.

These large nightmare spirits are the last line of defense between you and your friends! These large spirits manifest in the deepest and darkest regions of the nightmare realm and a direct attack won’t affect them! Turn the tides, avoid the spirits attacks, and use their own exploding pods against them!

Learn by doing! Set in the monster realm, Little Monster's opening level is the perfect playground to get to know the controls and mechanics of the game. Defeat basic nightmare spirits as they invade your home!

As a beat ‘em up fan myself, Little monster was inspired by the best of the best! Games like TMNT Shredder’s Revenge and Streets of Rage 4 inspired Little Monster’s engaging gameplay and replayability while games like Rayman Legends inspired its art direction and storybook visuals, solidifying its childlike wonder premise. I’m a big proponent of playing games while in development as proven mechanics can help expire better features and mechanics in games currently in development under Onedrr Games. For example, a recent playthrough inspired me to completely revamp the combat mechanics in Little Monster enhancing its engagement for the player.

Fans of games like Streets of Rage, Rayman Legends, and/or TMNT Shredder’s Revenge ages 15 – 40 will be drawn to the attack and dodge mechanics along with the ability to chain combos and special attacks. Choose stage perks, unlock achievements, and gain access to new items by leveling up.

To be transparent, exposure and the budget to market effectively. I'm looking for a publisher who has experience and the connections to help my games audience grow.

I’m also looking for console porting help, distribution guidance, and would like to discuss diversifying revenue streams i.e. merchandise.

Monetized Recoup: Premium model at $19.99 on release with possible $4.99 DLC add-ons after release. I also want to recoup via merchandise and partner with vendors.

I feel my characters could have strong appeal in the Japanese market so a merchandise focus in that region could also be discussed.

Funding estimates are based on phase one marketing, i.e. expos, low to mid-tear advertising on social media, and sound/composer contracts. Full budget overview is provided below in USD as I am based in the United States. I currently have another income stream coming in that pays my salary.

You can view the full budget breakdown here:

Around 17% of overrun will be contributed to unforeseen fees and taxes.

There’s also a Little Monster comic and mobile game that expands the lore of Little Monster universe and acts as a companion to the game.

The comic recounts the history of the monster realm and how the monsters discovered the human realm through the eyes of the game’s protagonist, Stormy, as he reads through the ancient texts.

In Little Monster Trainer, you play as Stormy, a student in training before his big adventure in Little Monster! Make your way through 15 Punch-Out style stages as you earn achievements and encounter opponents who get progressively stronger as you gain experience. The app is available to download HERE.
